Automations

The follow-up you keep meaning to write.

Write the welcome once and every new member gets it. Deliver the lead magnet the second the form is submitted. Nudge the person who stalled halfway through your course, and win back the one who went quiet. Build the journey, then go back to coaching.

Where journeys start

15 ways in, and every one of them is behavior.

An email tool bolted onto your community can start a sequence when someone lands on a list. That is one door. Because the courses, the community, and the memberships live here too, a journey can start from anything a member does.

Start from a shape

22 journeys, already mapped.

Pick one and the whole journey lands on your canvas: the trigger, the waiting, the branches, ready to edit. The emails stay yours to write, in your words, with nothing added to your Emails list you did not ask for. Add a step, change the timing, or start from blank instead. Six of them are below.

The difference

An outside tool knows an email address.
This one knows the member.

Send your list somewhere else and you are automating on opens and clicks, because that is all the tool can see. Here the journey reads the same data your dashboard does.

Progress
Started the course and stalled halfway, finished the last lesson, completed the whole thing. Your emails can answer where somebody actually is.
Membership
Joined, paying, comped, about to cancel. A win-back can fire the day a cancellation is scheduled, while they still have access.
Belonging
Posted for the first time, quiet for a month, back after a while. The nudge lands because the community and the email are the same system.

With a guardrail on top: nobody receives more than 3 automated emails in any rolling 24 hours, across every journey they are in. Over the line, the next one waits its turn instead of piling on.

FAQ

What runs, and when.

What is an automation here?

A journey you build once that runs for every person who enters it. Pick a trigger (someone joins, a contact lands on a list, a member stalls in a course), then arrange the steps: send an email, wait a number of days, wait until a date or until something becomes true, branch on a condition, or ping yourself. Each person walks the path on their own clock, so the sequence keeps running while you coach.

Which plans include automations?

Creator ($29/mo) and Growth ($99/mo). The free plan includes broadcasts, audiences, and the automatic new-drops email, so you can email your members from day one; building journeys that send on their own is the paid step up.

What can start a journey?

Things that happen in your own community, which is the part a standalone email tool cannot see: someone joins, reaches a membership milestone, starts a course, passes the halfway mark, finishes a lesson or the whole course, stalls partway through, makes their first post, goes quiet for a stretch, comes back, schedules a cancellation, books a session with you, or is captured as a lead and has not joined yet. A contact being added to a specific list works too, which is how a lead magnet delivers itself.

Can a journey branch?

Yes. A condition step splits the path on whether they opened the last email, clicked it, finished a course, are a paying member, or have been active in the community. You can also hold someone until a condition becomes true, or until a fixed date, and cap how long they wait.

Will this spam my members?

No, and there is a hard backstop: one person receives at most 3 automated emails in any rolling 24 hours across every journey they are in. Over that, the next send is deferred until the window frees, never dropped and never doubled up. Every automated email carries the same one-click unsubscribe as your broadcasts, and unsubscribing takes them out of the journeys too.

Do the emails look like my brand?

Yes. Automated emails are built in the same block editor as your broadcasts and render in your own fonts, colors, and logo. On Growth they also send from your own domain instead of ours.

Do I have to start from a blank canvas?

No. Start from one of 22 ready-made journeys (welcome a new member, deliver a lead magnet, fill an event, win back a stalled course, rescue someone about to cancel). The whole shape lands on your canvas: the trigger, the timing, the branches. The emails are yours to write, so nothing appears in your Emails list that you did not write. Add a step, change the timing, or start blank if you would rather.
