Beacons pricing 2026: every plan, the 9% fee, and when to upgrade

Beacons is free forever but takes 9% of each sale on Free and Creator. Creator Plus is $30 a month at 0%, and it wins from about $334 a month in sales. Every plan, the fees around the fee, and $1,000 a month worked on each tier. Verified September 2026.

We make Drry, which competes with Beacons, so read this with that in mind. Is Beacons free? Yes, there is a free forever plan, and it is not free to sell on: Beacons takes 9% of every sale on Free and on the $10 Creator plan, before Stripe or PayPal processing. The fee goes to 0% on Creator Plus at $30 a month ($300 a year) and Creator Max at $100 ($900 a year). So Beacons pricing is really one decision: whether your monthly sales are big enough that a flat $30 beats a 9% cut. Every figure here was read from Beacons' own pricing page and help centre on September 27, 2026.

Beacons is a good product, and the free plan is genuinely useful: a customizable link in bio, unlimited digital products, a media kit that updates itself, affiliate links and an Instagram auto-DM, at $0. If you are building an audience and not selling much yet, that is hard to beat. The pricing only starts to matter when the sales do.

Beacons plans, side by side

Beacons plans by price, seller fee and email sends, as checked September 2026
PlanMonthlyAnnuallySeller feeEmail sends a month
Free$0$09%50
Creator$10$100 a year9%500
Creator Plus$30$300 a year0%Unlimited
Creator Max$100$900 a year0%Unlimited
  • Free gives you the whole link in bio and store, with a daily allowance of AI credits. Courses are limited to one, with no video hosting.
  • Creator ($10) adds a free custom domain, 500 email sends a month and more AI credits. It does not change the 9% seller fee, which is the part most people expect it to.
  • Creator Plus ($30) is the plan that changes the economics: 0% seller fees, unlimited email sends, unlimited courses with video hosting, unlimited memberships and buy now, pay later at checkout.
  • Creator Max ($100) keeps the same 0% and adds service rather than selling power: Google Workspace, white glove onboarding, faster support and a physical NFC card for your link.

What $1,000 a month costs on each Beacons plan

The crossover is lower than most people guess. Creator Plus beats Free once you sell about $334 a month, and beats Creator from about $223. If you are anywhere near those numbers, the free plan is the expensive one, and paying for Creator Plus annually at $300 a year widens the gap.

The fees around the fee

  • Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. The $0.30 is fixed, so it bites hardest on cheap products: on a $5 download it is 6% by itself.
  • PayPal: 3.49% plus a fixed fee. The fixed part depends on the currency. On most sales it costs more than Stripe, so offer it for the buyers who insist on it rather than by default.
  • The 9% applies to affiliate links too. Beacons' pricing page shows the same 9% against affiliate link earnings on Free and Creator, and Creator Plus promises you keep 100% of affiliate commissions.

Who should stay on which plan

Stay on Free if you mostly share links and a media kit and sell a few hundred dollars a month or less. Skip Creator unless you want the custom domain and are selling very little. Move to Creator Plus the month your sales pass the crossover, and pay annually once you are sure. Creator Max is for people who want the service, not a lower fee.

If you are weighing a move rather than a plan, our roundup of Beacons alternatives covers the storefronts creators move to, and our Linktree pricing guide does the same arithmetic for Linktree's tiers.

How Drry compares (the disclosed pitch)

Our side, stated plainly so you can discount it. Drry has a bio link with a store too, and it takes 0% of your sales on every plan, including free, through your own Stripe account. The free plan pauses the store once a month's store and payment link sales reach $500, so the $1,000 month above runs on Creator at $29: about $70 a month with the same processing. That is roughly Creator Plus billed monthly, and Creator Plus billed annually is a little cheaper. We will not pretend the bio link alone is a reason to switch.

The reason to look is what sits behind the link. Drry is a community platform: a member feed, courses with native video, events, booking and direct messages, with paid memberships at 0%. The free plan carries 100 members and 700 marketing emails a month against Beacons Free's 50, and Creator sends 60,000. What you give up is Beacons' media kit, its brand-deal tools and its AI credits, which we do not try to match, and a custom domain on the free plan, which on Drry starts at Creator. See the Drry bio link or Drry vs Beacons.

Questions coaches ask

Is Beacons free?

Yes, Beacons has a free forever plan with unlimited links and digital products, but it is not free to sell on: Beacons takes a 9% seller fee on every sale on Free and on Creator, with Stripe or PayPal processing on top, and Free sends 50 emails a month. The seller fee drops to 0% on Creator Plus at $30 a month. Checked against beacons.ai/i/pricing on September 27, 2026.

How much does Beacons cost?

Free is $0, Creator is $10 a month, Creator Plus $30 and Creator Max $100, or $100, $300 and $900 a year billed annually. Free and Creator also take 9% of each sale; Creator Plus and Creator Max take 0%. Checked on September 27, 2026.

What fees does Beacons charge on sales?

A 9% seller fee on Free and Creator, and 0% on Creator Plus and Creator Max. Processing is separate on every plan: Stripe at 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, or PayPal at 3.49% plus a fixed fee that depends on the currency.

When is Beacons Creator Plus worth it?

As soon as you sell more than about $334 a month. Below that, 9% on Free costs less than Creator Plus's $30; above it, the flat price wins. Against the $10 Creator plan the crossover is lower, about $223 a month, so Creator is only the cheapest plan for someone who wants the custom domain and sells very little.

Is Beacons Creator Max worth it?

Only for what it adds, not for fees: Creator Max takes the same 0% as Creator Plus. The extra $70 a month buys Google Workspace, white glove onboarding, faster support and an NFC card. The help centre still quotes $90 a month for it; the pricing page says $100.

Is Drry cheaper than Beacons?

At $1,000 a month in sales, Drry's Creator plan at $29 with 0% taken costs about the same as Beacons Creator Plus billed monthly, and Creator Plus billed annually is a little cheaper. Drry's case is not the bio link price: it is the community, courses and email behind the link, and 60,000 marketing emails a month on Creator. We make Drry, so weigh that.
