Signing in

Drry has no passwords, for you or for your members. You enter your email address, we send a code, you type it in. Nothing to invent, nothing to forget, nothing to leak.

How long you stay in

A year, and it renews as you use it. Somebody who visits your community regularly should almost never have to sign in again.

Where the code comes from

From Drry by default, branded as your community. If you have connected your own sending domain, sign-in codes come from your domain too, which is worth doing precisely because this is the moment a member is deciding whether to trust the email in front of them.

If someone else may have your code

A sign-in lasts a year, so a code that gets forwarded, to an assistant or a helper for example, hands over the whole console. Two things help.

A new-device email. When an owner, admin or editor signs in to the console from a browser Drry has not seen before, we email them the device (for example Chrome on Windows), the approximate location when we know it, and the time. The button in it goes to Settings, under General, to Your sign-ins. It blocks nothing, because people travel and change networks. Signing in to a community site as a member never sends it, and a brand-new account's first device is silent.

Sign out of all other devices. In Your sign-ins there is one button that ends every sign-in except the one you are using, including on your community sites. Other devices are signed out within about a minute, and getting back in needs a new code. Editors find the same card in Settings.
