Design your join page

The page that asks somebody to become a member: benefits, sections, layouts and the button that is always there.

Your join page is what a visitor sees when they are not a member yet. It is edited in the paywall part of Customize, with a live preview in both desktop and mobile shapes.

What to put on it

  • A headline that says what somebody gets, not what your community is called.

  • A list of benefits, written as outcomes. Add as many as you need and cut back to five.

  • A photo, with alt text if it carries meaning.

  • Your membership tiers, if you sell more than one level.

  • An honest answer to can I cancel, because everybody wonders and nobody asks.

Sections

The page is built from sections you can add, duplicate, hide and reorder, each with its own layout options. Hiding is better than deleting while you are experimenting: a deleted section is gone once you save.

Tiers change the layout

If you sell membership levels they always stack vertically, because a row of levels beside a column of pitch has nowhere to go on a phone. Write the pitch above them.

Common questions

What is the difference between this and a funnel page?

This is the page that takes the payment. A funnel page is marketing you point traffic at, and it links here.

Can I make a funnel page my front door instead?

Yes. Set a funnel page as your home page and visitors who are not signed in land there. They still reach this page when they press join.

Do members ever see it?

No. Members go to their member home. It is only ever shown to somebody who is not in yet.
