Connect Stripe and get paid

Setting up payments so members can pay you directly. Read the part about your country before you click, because it cannot be changed.

Drry does not hold your money. Members pay into a Stripe account that belongs to you, and Stripe pays it into your bank account on its normal schedule.

Drry takes nothing. No percentage, no per-transaction fee, on any plan including the free one. The only deduction is Stripe's own card processing fee, which comes out on their side.

You will need about ten minutes and your bank details.

  1. Open Settings and find Accept payments

Sidebar, then Settings. Scroll to the card headed Accept payments.

Only the community owner can do this. If you are an admin you will see the card but be refused.

  2. Press Connect Stripe and read the box

A confirmation appears naming the country your account will be registered in and the currency your members will pay in, and telling you it cannot be changed.

Check both. Then press Create my account.

  3. Fill in Stripe's form completely

Stripe's own onboarding appears inside the page. It asks for your identity, your business details and a bank account.

Stripe offers a "skip for now" on some steps. Do not take it. An account that is started but not finished cannot take a single payment, and the failure is quiet: your join page shows a disabled button and your payment links return a page that does not exist.

  4. Check it says Connected

Back on the Settings card, the status line should read Connected, with "Your Stripe account is ready. Payouts go straight to you."

If it says Finish payment setup instead, you are not done. Press Continue setup and complete what is missing.

After you are connected

The Settings card grows into your money dashboard. You get your balance, every individual charge, your payout schedule and history, and behind a disclosure your bank details and tax documents.

Refunds are issued from the charges list here.

There is no separate Stripe website to log in to. These accounts are managed entirely through Drry, so anything that tells you to "log in to Stripe" means this card.

Which countries work

Around thirty five, covering the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Bulgaria and the eurozone.

If yours is not supported you will see a message saying so, before any account is created, with an invitation to email us. Nothing is half built and left behind.

Common questions

Does Drry take a cut?

No. Nothing, on any plan. Stripe charges their standard processing fee on each payment and that comes off your side. What Drry charges you is your monthly plan, and nothing else.

How do I disconnect Stripe?

There is no disconnect button, on purpose. Disconnecting would strand your paying members mid-subscription and interrupt payouts you are owed. If you genuinely need to move accounts, email hello@drry.com.

When does the money reach my bank?

On Stripe's payout schedule, which is typically a couple of days for most countries and longer for a brand new account. Your Payouts panel in Settings shows the exact dates.

Can an admin set this up for me?

No. Connecting Stripe, setting the price, and changing plans are owner only.

I connected but my join page still says payments are not ready.

Your Stripe onboarding is unfinished. Go back to Settings and press Continue setup. This is the single most common payment problem.
