What happens when you change your price

Changing your price does something different depending on which way you move it, and the behaviour is not what most people assume. Drry shows you a confirmation explaining what is about to happen, but it is worth understanding before you get there.

Every case, in full

You raise it. Current members are untouched. New members pay the new price. Nobody is notified.

You lower it. Members on the same billing cycle who are paying more than the new price move down at their next bill. This is not reversible by putting the price back up: they are on the new amount now.

You set it to zero. Every active paid membership is cancelled at the end of the period they have already paid for. No refunds, and nobody loses access. But your recurring revenue stops, and any offers you were running are switched off. Putting a price back afterwards does not bring those subscriptions back, and every one of those people is now a free member permanently.

You switch to one-time. New members pay once for lifetime access. Existing subscribers are left exactly as they are, still on their recurring plan.

You turn off a second cadence. The option disappears for new members. Anyone already on it keeps it.

After you save

Drry tells you how many member subscriptions it actually moved. If any failed, it says so rather than staying quiet, and their billing is left unchanged until you retry.
