Drip scheduling: open a section a week after joining, hold a lesson until the one before it is finished, or unlock everything on a date.

By default a published lesson is available right away. Scheduling changes that, and it works at two levels: the section, and the individual lesson.
Section schedules
With the course. The section opens whenever the course does. This is the default.
A set time after joining. Opens a chosen number of days after each member joins, so everybody gets the same run regardless of when they arrived.
After the previous section is finished. Opens the moment a member completes the section before it, optionally after a wait.

Available right away.
A set time after joining.
On a specific date. Everybody gets it at once, which is what you want for a live cohort.
After finishing the previous lesson.
After completing the required lessons. Pick specific lessons that must be done first.
Prerequisites
Requiring specific lessons is a different tool from waiting for the previous one. Use it when the order in the sidebar is not the order the material actually depends on. Drry will not let you build a loop: a lesson that could not come before this one is left out of the picker.
Common questions
What does a member see for a locked lesson?
The lesson, locked, with the reason. A hole where a lesson should be is confusing; a locked lesson with a date is motivating.
Does the clock start when they join or when I publish?
When they join. That is what makes a drip work for people arriving at different times.
Can I unlock something early for one person?
Not per member. If somebody needs it now, the usual answer is to publish the lesson unscheduled and reschedule afterwards.
