Create folders, move files into them, set the order members see, and what happens to the files when you delete a folder. Folders are one level deep.

Folders keep a big library browsable. A folder has a title, an optional description and an optional cover photo, and it holds files and links. There is one level only: a folder cannot contain another folder. A community can have up to 500 folders.

  1. Create a folder

Open Resources in your console. In the Folders list at the left, press the + button (New folder). Give it a title such as Meal plans, add a description if you like (members see it with the folder), add a cover photo if you want one, then press Create folder.

  2. Put files and links in it

Any of these works. Drag a file onto the folder in the list. Or tick one or more files and use Move to folder in the bar that appears at the bottom, choosing the folder (or Not in a folder to take them out). Or open a file and change its Folder field. While a folder is open, files you upload and links you add go into it.

  3. Set the order

Open a folder, or Not in a folder, and drag its files up and down. Drag folders in the list to reorder them. Members see this order under Coach's order. All files is always newest first, so it cannot be dragged into order, and dragging is switched off while a search or filter is on.

  4. Rename, describe or delete

Hover a folder in the list and press the ... menu beside it, then choose Edit folder or Delete folder.

Good to know

  • A folder is visible to members as soon as you create it, even when it is empty. The files in it appear only once you publish them.

  • A file lives in one folder at a time. Files you have not put in a folder show under the folders on the front page.

  • If you drop a whole folder from your computer onto the page, Drry uploads the files inside it, at any depth, and drops the structure. Hidden files such as .DS_Store are skipped. Move the new files into Resources folders afterwards.

  • A tier limit on a folder applies to everything inside it. See Limit Resources to a membership tier. Moving a file out of a limited folder keeps that limit on the file, so it never gets easier to open by being moved.

  • Editors can create, edit, reorder and delete folders. Setting who can open a folder is for the owner and admins.
