Set up checkout reminders with your assistant
Ask your connected assistant to build a reminder for shoppers who left checkout without paying: what it does in order, and what it leaves to you.

Your assistant can build the whole reminder for you, but it won't switch it on until you tell it to. It works with your own seat, so it can do no more than you can. For how reminders themselves work, see Remind shoppers who left checkout. To connect an assistant first, see connect Claude or ChatGPT.
What to say
"Help me follow up with people who start a checkout and don't pay." Or name a product: "Set up a checkout reminder for my Morning Reset guide, with 15% off for 3 days." In Claude, you can also pick the prompt Follow up with shoppers who did not finish checking out.
What it does, in order
Reads your products, and how many checkouts were left in the last 30 days (numbers only, never who).
Asks whether you want to offer a discount. If you do, and you own the community, it creates a product offer with a code, an end date and a limit on uses. It confirms the amount and dates with you first, because an offer is live once it starts.
Writes the reminder email as a draft with the product's name, price and a button back to the item, plus the code if there is one.
Builds the journey as a draft on the "Leaves checkout without paying" trigger, with any extra wait you want. Nobody is emailed yet.
Shows you the whole thing: when it fires, what the email says, and that it only reaches shoppers from now on.
Switches it on only when you say so, in that conversation.
What it can't do
See who left a checkout, or any shopper's address. It only gets the counts.
Pick the discount unless you own the community. Same rule as an offer step.
Remind people who left before the journey was switched on.
Cover payment links, tickets or bookings.
Build a journey that can go live on the Free plan. Automations need Creator, so on Free it tells you that instead of building one.
Checking on it later
Ask "How are my checkout reminders doing?" It reads the same three numbers as the Orders tab (left, reminded, came back and bought) and can edit the email or the journey. People already partway through finish on the version they started.
Common questions
Can it see who left a checkout?
No. It only gets counts: how many left without paying, how many got a reminder, and how many came back and bought. Never a name or an address.
