Replace a file
When a worksheet changes, swap the file instead of adding a second one. Members download the new version from that moment, and everything around the file stays put.
Open the file
In Resources, click the file. Its panel shows the file name and size.
Press Replace file
Next to the file name, press Replace file and choose the new one. A progress bar runs, and you see File replaced. Members download the new one from now on. when it is done.
Stays the same: the title, description, folder, published or draft status, tier limit, and the download and view counts.
Changes: the file itself, its name, its type and its size. The new file can be a different type, so you can swap a Word file for a PDF. The usual rules apply: the allowed types, and 2 GB at most.
Gone: the old file. Drry does not keep it, and its storage is freed. Keep your own copy if you may want it back.
If you drop a file onto Resources whose name matches one already there, Drry asks whether to Replace it or Skip. Only files can be replaced. To change a link, edit its address.
Add a cover photo
Drry does not make thumbnails from inside your files. A cover photo is how you give a file, link or folder a picture. Without one, a file shows a tile with its type, such as PDF, and a folder shows a tile with its first letter.
Open the item
Click a file or link to open its panel, or open a folder with Edit folder.
Add the photo
Under Cover photo, press Add photo, pick an image and crop it. Covers are cropped to a 3 to 2 shape.
Change or remove it
Press Change photo to swap it, or Remove to go back to the tile.
A cover can be a JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF image of up to 10 MB. Covers count toward your storage. For a link, Drry can use the page's own picture, see Share a link in Resources. Your assistant cannot add or change covers or replace files, so do those in the console.
