You can own up to three communities. When one of them is on Creator or Growth, that plan covers all of them. You pay once, on that community, and every community you own shares its allowance: storage, emails, live and webinar hours, and contacts.

Every community on the plan also gets the plan's features, so a Growth plan on one community means webinars, tiers and the rest on all of them.

What is shared and what is not

Shared across your communities: storage, emails, live room hours, webinar viewer hours and contacts. A send, a session or an upload in any of them counts toward the same total.

Still separate for each community: its members, its admin and editor seats, its custom domain, and everything it earns. Each community also keeps its own Stripe account, prices and payouts.

Where billing lives

Plan & billing on the community that pays holds your card, your extra usage setting, your spend limit and your bills. Billing is owner only, as it always was.

On your other communities, Plan & billing shows the plan you are on, what the whole group has used, and a button to open the paying community. Upgrading, downgrading, cancelling and changing your card are all done on the paying community, and they apply to every community you own.

  1. Open Plan & billing

In any of your communities, open Settings, then Plan & billing.

  2. Find the community that pays

If this one is covered by your plan, the page reads the plan name followed by the paying community's name, with a button to open it.

  3. Manage everything there

Your card, extra usage, spend limit, plan changes and bills are all on that community's Plan & billing.

Your bill

Extra usage is billed once, on the paying community's card. Emails and live and webinar sessions are listed on the statement by community, so you can see which one used what. Storage is one line for the whole group, because it is charged at the group's highest point.

One extra usage switch and one spend limit cover all your communities together. See Usage and overage pricing for the rates.

Your other communities move to the paying community's billing day. Their current period is stretched or shortened to end on that day, so no allowance is gained or lost, and nothing you have already used moves. If you pay for your plan yearly, your other communities keep their current billing dates.

Unpaid bills

If a bill on any of your communities is unpaid, extra usage pauses for all of them until it is paid. You can pay it from Plan & billing on the paying community. Your included allowance, your content and your members are never affected.

Paying for more than one

If two of your communities each have their own paid plan, each keeps its own. The community on the higher plan covers the rest, or the older one if both are on the same plan. A community that pays for itself keeps its own allowance.

Cancel the one you don't need and it moves onto the plan you keep once the plan it paid for ends. Any extra usage it ran up while it paid for itself is billed to its own card.

A community that runs on your plan cannot buy a second plan of its own. To change plan, do it on the paying community.

Deleting a community

If you delete a community that runs on your plan, its usage this billing period stays on your bill, with the rest of your communities.

Your free .com

The free .com domain comes once per person, across all your communities, one for life rather than one a year. It comes with a full price Creator or Growth plan and can go on any community you own. If you have already used it, the Domains page says so before you search, rather than at the last click.

If you stop paying

If you cancel, or the plan finally ends, every community goes back to its own free plan. Nothing is deleted. The cancel confirmation counts storage and contacts across all your communities, so you can see what you would be over on Free before you confirm. For the rest of what a downgrade does, see Change plan and read your invoices.

Common questions

Do I pay again when I start a second community?

No. If one of your communities is on Creator or Growth, a new one you start runs on that plan straight away. See Start a second community.

Does each community get its own allowance?

No. They share one. Storage, emails, live and webinar hours and contacts are counted across all your communities together, so three communities do not mean three times the allowance.

Can I give a community its own plan?

Not while it runs on your plan. A community that already pays for its own plan keeps it, but a community on your plan cannot buy another one. Change the plan on the paying community instead.

Can I hand a community on my plan to someone else?

Yes, if it can be handed over at all. It leaves your plan when the new owner accepts and runs on their plan from then on. See Transfer your community to someone else.

Does a free community share anything?

No. Free plans are never grouped. Each free community has its own free allowance.

Can an admin see the billing?

No. Billing is owner only, on the paying community and on every other community you own.
