Usage and overage pricing

Every plan has a flat monthly price. Four things are also metered, which means each plan includes an amount and you can choose to pay for more: live room hours, webinar viewer hours, marketing emails and storage. Everything else in Drry has no usage price.

Every extra usage rate

• Participant hours (live rooms): $0.75 per hour. Included: 20 hours on Creator, 50 on Growth. Free has no rooms hosted in Drry. Live video usage and your spend cap

• Webinar viewer hours: $0.15 per hour. Included: 150 hours on Growth. Free and Creator do not have webinars. A webinar can have up to 10,000 viewers, and the cost follows viewer hours, not audience size. Run a webinar

• Marketing emails: $0.25 per 1,000 emails. Included: 700 on Free, 60,000 on Creator, 500,000 on Growth. Your send allowance

• Storage: $0.20 per GB of the highest point your storage reached in the billing period, past what your plan includes. Included: 5 GB on Free, 50 GB on Creator, 1 TB on Growth. Storage: what counts and what does not

Each rate is the same on every plan that has the meter, so moving between Creator and Growth never changes a price you agreed to. Free has no extra usage at all: when you reach an allowance on Free, that thing stops until you upgrade or the period resets.

How extra usage works

• It is off until you turn it on. With it off, each meter simply stops at your plan's allowance, and nothing is ever billed.

• You set a cap. Turning it on means choosing a monthly spend cap, from $5 up to $100 on Creator or $300 on Growth. One cap covers all four meters together.

• The cap is a real stop. At the cap, new usage stops. You are warned at 90% of an included allowance, and by email when your extra usage reaches 80% of your cap.

• You pay after the period ends. Extra usage is added up when your usage period closes and charged to the card on your account, separately from your plan price. The period usually follows the day your subscription renews.

• Leaving a plan does not clear it. Anything you already used past your allowance still settles after a downgrade.

What has no usage price

• New content emails to your members. They do not count towards your marketing emails and are never billed. Paid plans have a separate volume limit that stops rather than bills, described in The new content email.

• Recording, chat and transcripts for a live session. Only the people in the room or watching count.

• Captions on your videos and audio.

• Sales you make. Drry takes 0% of what your members and buyers pay you on every plan. The $500 a month store and payment link ceiling on Free is a limit, not a fee.

• Sign-in codes, receipts and booking confirmations never count as marketing email.
