Storage: what counts and what does not

What fills up your allowance, what is free, and what happens when you run out.

Every plan includes storage: 5 GB on Free, 50 GB on Creator, 500 GB on Growth. You can see how much you have used in Settings, under Plan and usage.

What counts

  • Video files you upload, at their original size

  • Lesson attachments

  • Audio tracks and their cover images

  • Images: logos, covers, guide photos, images inside lesson bodies

  • Event recordings

  • Files you sell, and lead magnets you give away

What does not count

  • The playback versions we make from your video. Every upload becomes four different quality levels, and none of them count.

  • The thumbnail we pull from your video

  • Captions and transcripts

In short: you are billed for what you uploaded, not for what we made from it.

Running out

Hitting the limit stops new uploads. Nothing you already have is deleted, hidden, or degraded. Your members notice nothing.

To free up space, delete videos and attachments you no longer need, and check for duplicated courses. Duplicating a course copies its video files, so a duplicate costs the same again.

Common questions

How do I find out what is using the space?

There is currently only a total, not a breakdown. Your video files are almost always the answer: they are typically hundreds of times larger than everything else combined.

Does deleting a lesson free up its storage?

Yes, straight away.

What happens if I downgrade and I am over the new limit?

Nothing is deleted. Everything you have keeps working. You just cannot upload anything new until you are back under.

Do event recordings count?

Yes, and they accumulate. There is no automatic clean-up, so it is worth deleting recordings you will not use again.
